The following
outstanding organizations and venues support the League of Milwaukee Artists by
inviting us to exhibit, or as in MARN continue to promote
visual artists and organizations in Wisconsin.
| Mount
Mary College
Mount
Mary traces its roots to St. Mary's Institute, founded by the School
Sisters of Notre Dame in Prarie du Chien, Wisconsin, in 1872. In
1913 The Institute extended its educational program to the post-secondary
level and was chartered as Saint Mary's College - the first four-year
catholic college for women in Wisconsin to grant degrees. The
college, now located in Milwaukee at
2900 North Menomonee River Parkway, houses the expansive and serene Marian
Gallery and is home for the League of Milwaukee Artists, who hold their
monthly meetings in one of the beautifully appointed halls on the idyllic
campus.
