- Nora Boedeker has been awarded a solo show
at the Anderson Arts Center, Kenosha. The show opened April 11
and runs until June.
- Ginger Frederick was featured and quoted in
the American Art Collector magazine for the November 2009 issue.
She was featured in the Ft. Myers Southern Florida Magazine, the
Art of the West Magazine and the Fine Art Connoisseur Magazine
for the March/April issues.
Another feature of Ginger’s painting is in the Affluent
Page magazine for the September/October 2009 and January 2010
issues. (The cost of the Affluent Page magazine is $50.00 per
issue.) Ginger is recently showing her artwork at the Sweet Art
Gallery in Naples, Florida through April, and also has a display
of her work at the Gilded Edge Gallery in Elm Grove, WI. Ginger
was recently asked to be represented by the Katie Gingrass Gallery
in Egg Harbor, Door County. She was also contacted by the Schacknow
Museum of Fine Art In Ft. Lauderdale, Florida to exhibit her work
in the fall.
- Susan Hale has her painting “Halina’s
Lakeside View” accepted in the “Alive In The Arts’’
exhibit at Gallery 110, Plymouth Arts Center. The exhibit runs
March 26-June 4.
Susan was also a featured artist at The Guilded Edge Gallery,
in Shorewood, for the month of February.
- George Ronscholdt’s long-awaited One
Room Show, featuring rarely seen Septuagenarian art, runs April
11 - May 4 at the Anderson Art center, 121 66th St., Kenosha.
The show is open daily from 1- 4 pm, and is closed on Monday.
- Marcia Hero has 2 paintings on exhibit in
conjunction with the Martini Girls Salon spring show at St. Mark’s
Episcopal Church, 2618 N. Hackett, Milwaukee. The exhibit runs
through April 30, 2010.
- Joyce Eesley’s solo exhibit in the Garden
House at Boerner Gardens, Whitnall Park runs from April 19th through
May 17th. Joyce Eesley and Janet Roberts both
had paintings accepted into the Forward: A Survey of Wisconsin
Art Now 2010 at the Charles Allis Art Museum located at 1801 North
Prospect Avenue, Milwaukee. The exhibit runs through May 19th.
- Jim Maki’s exhibit at the Coquette Cafe,
316 N. Milwaukee Street, Milwaukee, entitled “Watercolors
by Jim Maki” continues through April. Katie Gingrass Gallery
presents an exhibition of Jim’s work in the garden room
at Coquette Cafe, 316 N. Milwaukee Street, Milwaukee, entitled
“Watercolors by Jim Maki”. The exhibit continues through
April.
- Richard W. Patt had his work on exhibit at
the Dooryard Gallery. The exhibit, titled “The Wisconsin
Landscape Abstracted” ran March 20 - April 10, 2010.
- J.J. Joyce will be the featured artist at
THE Fine Art Gallery May 21-June 24, “Aquatic Series”.
The reception is May 21st 5 - 7pm. All are invited. J.J. will
be featuring oil paintings and mixed media on canvas.
- Dagmara Costello will be featured artist at
THE Fine Art Gallery June 25-July 17. Reception June 25th 5pm
- 7pm. “Reflections of Light” will feature paintings
and sculptural jewelry.
- Susan Gay Hatfield will be the featured artist
at THE Fine Art Gallery Aug. 13 - Sept. 9, “Color Alive.”
Reception 5pm -7pm. Featuring paintings with water mixable oils.
Gallery Night/Day July 23 - 24. Exhibition: Vivid and Vibrant
at THE Fine Art Gallery will feature works from Jean D.
Sobon, J.J. Joyce, Dagmara Costello, Tom Pscheid, Darlene Wesenberg
Rzezotarski, Virgi Driscoll, Robert Popp, Marie Mellott and Susan
Gay Hatfield. The exhibition continues through October
9th.
Artist Market is Gallery Night/ Day Weekend, Saturday 10-5pm,
July 24th. The show will be feature artists we know from the LMA,
J.J. Joyce, Susan Gay Hatfield, Michael Kutzer, Tom Psceid,
Linda Sasse, Diane Richards, Joyce Eesley, Marie Myler, Mary Ellen
Mueller, Kitty Sturrock and Marcia Hero.
- Janet Robertshas two pieces in the annual
Watercolor Wisconsin show at the Wustum Museum in Racine. The
show runs from December 13 to April 24.
- Carolyn Kenney-Carter has work in the Racine
Art Museum’s “Watercolor Wisconsin 2009” show
at their Wustum Museum location. The exhibition runs December
13, 2009 - April 24, 20210.
- The League of Milwaukee Artists is well represented at Watercolor
Wisconsin 2009 exhibit at RAM’s Charles A. Wustum Museum
of Fine Arts in Racine.
Members with artwork in the exhibit and those receiving awards
are: Judith Beyer, Linda Szik, Joyce Eesley (Award
of Merit), Carolyn Kenney-Carter, Julia McMurray, Millie
Minessale, Judith Gahn Murphy, Jan Roberts, George Ronsholdt (Merchandise
Award), Alice Rossman (Third Award), Pat
Siok, and Linda Tump (Merchandise Award). The exhibit
runs from Dec. 13, 2009 - April 24, 2010. If you get a chance,
stop off to see this exhibit that shows very diverse artworks
of extremely talented Wisconsin watercolorists.
